When the Bible says that God is able to do more than we can ever ask or even imagine (Ephesians 3:20), it isn't kidding!

In 2004, Kit and Ream Carson shared with Calvary Chapel Fallbrook their dream of opening an orphanage in the rural Cambodian village where Ream grew up.  The congregation quickly recognized God's hand upon the idea, and immediately enough funds were raised to begin the project.  In 2005, the Carsons left Fallbrook and headed for adventure in Cambodia.

Today, the beautiful grounds of A Greater Hope Orphanage (AGHO) in Takeo Province are home to 20 girls, 20 boys, a full staff, Pastor Kit and the Carson family (which is now up to 5!).  AGHO is loved by the community, is considered by the national and provincial governments to be a model orphanage, and is a lighthouse of hope, joy, health and God's love in its village and in Takeo Province.

As the children of the orphanage grew, Kit and Ream became concerned about improving the kids' level of education.  Acting in faith, in 2010 they opened A Heart For Wisdom School (AHFWS) just down the street from the orphanage at the church pastored by Ream's father, Pastor Khan.  There was one student in the single kindergarten class.

Today there are nearly 500 students in the school, ranging from Pre-K through Tenth Grade.  AHFWS is fully accredited through Grade 12, and is now the highest-rated primary educational facility in Takeo Province.  Not only do the children at the school receive the best education available, but they also receive the love and truth of Christ on a daily basis, and we can't keep up with the demand for students!

Currently, there is no more room for school expansion available at Pastor Khan's church, as the school has built classrooms on every available square inch of space.  But land has recently been purchased adjacent to the orphanage in order to expand the school through Grade 12.
